Why it started: As you go through life you meet a lot of various types of people. Some are smart, some are dumb, some you may hate, some might be your best friends, and some will give you advise you could never think of and you will carry it for years. - There was a time in my life where I felt as if I had no one on my side but my own family. It was an interesting time in my life for sure. I wasn’t in the best headspace mentally and I had no one to talk to it about, but one day I had meet two individuals that would change my life forever. At the time I was working in a restaurant and I was quiet as some people are in places like that, meaning I didn’t talk to many people, but one day a coworker introduced himself to me. At first I didn’t think much of the interaction I had with him bc it was simple names, how the day was going, maybe even the weather outside, and other small talk. As the days went on and I was working there we talked more everyday at first he would do most of the talking and I would respond, but as ti e went on we started to crack jokes and grew closer. I didn’t think much of it at first but then when he introduced me to another coworker. At first I wasn’t sure weather or not they really liked me when we would talk the conversations where semi bland to start but as time went on we all talked more and more and became closer. It had gotten to the point where we would get off work and sit and talk for hours about random stuff and joke around. We even would ride to and from work and joke the whole way. Some of the jokes that were made were made at another expense but at that point it was just jokes to us, not mean, it wasn’t meant with ill intent. One day Malik had come up with the term senile simian, it wasn’t meant as a insult but more of a way to show his and I appertain to our other friend who was some what older then we were. He was there for us if we needed advise on any problem, weather it be women, money, aspirations, or goals. He would be real with us, tell us what we needed to hear even if it was the hurtful truth. So we coined the term Senile Simian for him. The words meant a different meaning to us. Instead of senile being a term used to show weakness of the mind, it was meant as, he’s old, but also that he has lived more life then both of us and has the wisdom from his experiences. And simian as, he is human, and has gone through or can relate to us in some way. The term is meant as a way to show our appertain for the advise and things he has shared with us. And the idea for the animals in old age form is to convey that everything gets old and will eventually die, so go out and live your life and make as many friends as you can bc you never know who you are gonna meet.
